Oh, and I get over 2.5 Million monthly viewers on Pinterest.

I want to preface this blog post with one important fact. I am not a unicorn.

Design a Pin

If you’ve ever scrolled your way through Pinterest before, you are well aware of it’s visual component. You are practically bombarded with beautiful, pin-worthy images.

Creating a pin that stands out in the crowd is vital to growing your Pinterest.

Here are a few of my tips:

  • Vertical layout

  • Large, legible text

  • Colors that pop

Pin Descriptions

Pinterest isn’t a social media platform. It’s a visual search engine.

That means how you write your descriptions is just as important as how your pin looks.

For every single pin description, you need to be including these four elements.

  1. Blog Title

  2. Blog Summary with Keywords

  3. Call-to-Action

  4. Hashtags

These four elements will give insight into your content, make your content easier to find and ultimately drive action towards your website.
