Announcing My October Interview Series

If you are not on my email list, you may be surprised to see the blog post that I am releasing on Thursday.

A few weeks back, I decided I wanted to highlight some of the creatives that read my blog on my blog.

Blogging often feels like shouting into the void and I was looking for a way to make it a more collaborative experience. I thought there was no better way than to collaborate with a few of my readers for the month of October.

Let me explain what I’m talking about!

Announcing My October Interview Series | Every week I will be interviewing a new creative from a different field. Take a look behind the scenes at #bloginterview #bloggingtips #blogtips

The back story

Last month, I sent an email to my subscribers asking if any of them wanted to be interviewed for the blog.

I was stunned by the response.

When I first sent out the email, I was nervous I wouldn’t get enough people interested to fill all five spots I had set aside. Luckily, I had the opposite problem.

I had so many people interested in being interviewed, that it was hard to cut down on the list

I wish I could say I had a great system for doing this, but it was really just who’s response had me wanting to ask more questions.

I narrowed it down to just five, one for each Thursday for the month of October, and sent them a Google Doc with my questions. It was really simple, but so much more rewarding than my typical blogging process.

What to expect

So, now you know a little bit about the back story, here’s what you can expect to see.

I’m going to be sharing a new blog post every Thursday for the month of October that highlights a different creative entrepreneur.

If this is a hit, I may keep it up, but for right now I’m only planning to do it for October.

With each interview, I asked these creatives about how they got started, what their highlights and lowlights are and what advice they have for others wanting to get into their field.

I think it’s going to be really beneficial to hear some other perspectives about entrepreneurship.

Who to expect

This wasn’t super intentional, but I noticed that I picked a creative from all different backgrounds, which I think is super lucky.

I’m going to be talking to non-profits, brand designers, product sellers, fashion gurus and multi-passionate dream chasers.

Remember, these blog posts are coming to you this Thursday and will be the main event for each Thursday for the month of October. If you are loving or dreading this new feature, let me know in the comments!

I can’t wait to see what this brings and how you all enjoy it!
