When deciding to launch a course, there are endless considerations.
How will you present your content? Where will you promote your course? What platform will you use to host your course?
I chose to use Teachable for my course platform and I have loved it from beginning to end. If you’re looking to create a course, read the full list to decide if Teachable is right for you.
*Please note: This post contains affiliate links. Any commission I earn comes at no additional cost to you. And of course, I never recommend tools that I don’t use and love. Promise.
1 | All-in-one platform
Teachable is an all-in-one platform making it really simple to host your course.
Teachable includes everything from hosting your videos, course website, domain, sales pages, quizzes, forums and completion certifications, student feedback, support and so much more.
Simplifying the creation, hosting and maintenance of your course is so important and Teachable has made this a snap for me.
2 | Payment Plans
One thing that I really love about Teachable is the payment plan options that I can offer my students.
I want my courses to be accessible to as many people as possible and having the flexibility to offer payment plans is just one of the ways that I can do that.
Currently, I offer my Thrive with Tailwind course as a 1 time payment or a 2 time payment. When I create a more extensive course in the future, I look forward to offering a wider range of options.
3 | Affiliate Program
Teachable makes creating an affiliate program incredibly easy.
Although, I didn’t use this feature for my first launch, I look forward to integrating this feature in the future. I personally love working with companies as an affiliate and I look forward to offering this option to my students and friends.
4 | Drip Content
Drip content is a must for so many course creators.
The ability to set this up without having to log-on the day the new content drops is a serious lifesaver.
5 | Video Hosting
If you know much about creating videos, you know the final product is a large file. If you want to host the course on your website, it will dramatically slow your web speed.
The fact that Teachable hosts the videos for you in a secure manner is a must-have.
6 | Great Customer Service
No matter what software you use in your business, great customer service will save your butt at least once.
Teachable offers great customer service and a course-creators community that lets you ask questions of peers and staff.
7 | Secure Content Protection
I can’t imagine anything worse than creating a course and having it hacked. Finding a platform that is secure may have been my top priority.
Teachable is completely secure and allows me total peace of mind.
